Can I Pay with Medical Aid?

  • Script Fee: **Not covered by medical aid

  • Medication Fee: May be covered for monthly repeats at the pharmacy, depending on your medical aid plan.

How the ‘Free Delivery’ Option Works

  1. Choose Script Duration: 1, 3, or 6 months.
  2. Pay R390 Once-Off: Covers your clinical assessment & first set of medication.
  3. Monthly Billing: For 3 or 6-month scripts, a monthly subscription will be set up for the rest of your script duration. Billed according to the pill brand selected + R100 script fee
  4. Free Delivery: Every 26 to 28 days.

Can I Pay with Medical Aid?
  • Once-off Script Fee (R390): Fee is not covered**
  • A monthly script fee of R100 will be charged 
  • Medication Fee: Can be used to cover your medication fee. Coverage depends on your medical aid plan.

Which Pharmacy Can I Use?

You can use any registered pharmacy, such as Dischem. Some pharmacies may request that the script be sent directly to their email address from Get My Pill. If you need assistance, please contact admin@getmypill.co.za.

What is the Pill Used For?

The common use for the Pill include:

- Prevention of unwanted pregnancies

- Reduction and avoidance of your period

- Improvement of your skin quality and avoidance of excess acne

How Does the Pill Work?

The contraceptive pill supplements your body's naturally occurring sex hormones estrogen and/or progesterone. This then acts to either prevent ovulation and/or implantation.

What are some conditions which make it unsuitable for someone to take the Pill?

Some of the more serious contraindications that will prevent us from prescribing you the oral contraceptive are:

- If you have a history of blood clots

- If you have a family history of breast cancer

- If you are currently pregnant

- If you are extremely overweight (BMI > 35)

- If you drink or smoke heavily

- If you have had a heart attack or any other serious medical condition
